Sound on, about 20 seconds. This is the app's real voice guide, made with voice software.

The day ends up in your shoulders.

Hours at a laptop, on the sofa or behind the wheel. And every workout seems to be made for somebody else.

  • A young woman at her home desk gently tilting her head to ease a stiff neck

"My neck has been at laptop angle since nine."

    Mid-afternoon, home office

  • A grandmother in her armchair lifting both arms overhead with a smile

"Mornings take a while to get going these days."

    Early, in the good armchair

  • A man in his kitchen doing a calf stretch with his hands on the counter

"Six minutes while the kettle boils. That's all I've got."

    Kettle on, the kitchen

  • A woman in pyjamas sitting on her bed in a gentle side stretch

"The whole day is still sitting in my shoulders."

    Late, finally in bed

Gentle Range was made for exactly these minutes.

A few slow minutes that fit the gaps you already have. No score, no pressure, nothing to prove.

However today feels

Tell it how today feels. It picks the stretch.

Daily Fit asks how long you have, where you want to be and how your body feels. Then it suggests today's routine.

  • Stiff? It goes gentle. Feeling great? It adds a bit more.
  • In a chair, standing or on the floor. Or switch on Floor-free and never get down there at all.
  • It learns as you go. Swap a move that does not suit you, and your "How did that feel?" answer shapes the next one.

FAQ

Good questions.

A woman seated on a chair with her hands on her belly, breathing slowly
Do I need to be flexible?

No. Holds stay comfortable and you choose how far to go. An easier version of each move is one tap away, and Extra Gentle is there for low-energy days.

How long are the stretching workouts?

From 5 minutes to about an hour. Most take 6 to 10, and Quick Reset, Desk Reset, Travel Unwind and Extra Gentle take about six. The longest are strength and cardio circuits, like Low-Impact Cardio at about 41 minutes and Wall & Chair Strength at about 53. Many of their moves give you a number of reps to aim for, with a counter you can tap.

Can I stretch without getting on the floor?

Yes. The free Chair Session is done sitting down, every workout shows whether it is standing, seated or on the floor, and Daily Fit has a Floor-free switch.

What are good stretches for sitting at a desk all day?

Neck & Shoulders is free and made for desk tension. With Premium, Desk Reset and Wrist & Desk Relief add standing, seated and wrist stretches, and the free Desk Reset plan builds a four-week habit around your working day.

Is Gentle Range good for beginners and older adults?

Yes. Every workout is slow, with comfortable holds and a voice that explains each move. Chair Session is done fully seated and Extra Gentle uses small, supported moves, and both are free. If you have an injury or condition, ask a professional first.

Is the voice a real person?

No. The voice guide is made with voice software. It is calm and steady, and it talks you through all 201 movements. Some of the newest moves use your device's own voice for now. Prefer quiet? Turn it off and soft chimes mark each start, hold, side change and finish.

Is there a stretching plan I can follow?

Yes. Four-week plans pick the workout for each session and build slowly. A new week opens when you finish the last one, so a missed day never puts you behind. Desk Reset is free, and Evening Wind-Down, Floor-Free Month and Looser Hips come with Premium.

Can I make my own stretching workout?

Yes, with Premium. Pick your movements, set each hold from 10 seconds to 2 minutes, and save up to 30 of your own workouts of up to 12 moves each. In any workout you can also swap a move for a chair or no-floor option, or leave it out.

Will it remind me to stretch?

Yes, if you want it to. One gentle reminder comes each day at the time you choose, and a home screen widget on iPhone and Android shows your streak and minutes. You can set a weekly goal of 2 to 7 days, and nothing scolds you for missing one.

Does it work offline, without an account?

Yes. The workouts, voice guide and pictures are all inside the app, and everything works without an account. You only need a connection for optional encrypted sync or to buy Premium.

Is Gentle Range medical treatment?

No. It is general wellness content. Stay in a comfortable range and stop if anything hurts. If you have an injury or condition, ask a professional first.

Is Premium a subscription?

Yes. Premium is $9.99 a month or $39.99 a year, and it renews until you cancel in your App Store or Google Play account. The free workouts never expire.
