Data deletion

Delete your data

Gentle Range keeps your sessions on your device. Here is how to remove them, and how to remove the sync copy if you created one.

Delete data on your device

Most of what Gentle Range holds is local to your phone. You have three options:

Deleting is permanent. Local data and any encryption keys may be unrecoverable once removed. Export a backup first if you might want your history later.

Delete your sync account

Sync is optional. If you never turned it on, there is no account and nothing to delete. You can stop here.

If you did enable it, open Settings → Sync in the app and use Delete sync copy to remove the service copy of your encrypted records, then sign out. Local workouts on the phone stay until you delete them separately.

If an option described here is not visible in your app, that feature is not enabled in your version and there is no account to delete.

What deletion does not do

Deleting the app or your sync account does not cancel or refund your subscription. Gentle Range Premium is a monthly or yearly subscription, so cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account, separately from anything you do here. If you want a refund, request it from Apple or Google, who decide under their own policies.

Deletion also does not reach:

If you need help

If you cannot reach the in-app controls. For example you no longer have the device, email jpottstudios@gmail.com and describe what you need removed. Do not include passwords in the email.

Note that your workout history and custom routines are encrypted on your device before upload, so the sync service cannot read their contents; deletion removes the stored records rather than decrypting them.
